About Us
THE FIRM
We are a partnership of maritime and insurance lawyers based in London, close to Finsbury Circus and Moorgate in the City.
THE WORK
We operate in specialised fields: the carriage of goods by sea; the commercial operation of ships; the sale and purchase of goods; insurance and reinsurance. Much of our work concerns dispute resolution. A significant, and growing, amount of what we do is, however, non-contentious, involving the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements and advice on various regulatory matters.
THE PEOPLE
The firm comprises 13 partners, 13 assistant solicitors and a team of 14 support staff. Although some expansion is inevitable, we want to maintain our current friendly working environment, where everyone knows everyone else.
Lawyers
At MFB, we take the view that there is work to be done for clients who will appreciate a job done well.
Our preference is to grow organically, promoting people developing within the firm. We will always, however, consider seriously those who are capable, ambitious and look for a position that offers them the opportunity to serve their clients' needs and requirements to the best of their ability.
While we seek to remain a compact partnership, we are keen to recruit those who are ready and willing to provide the service that clients require.

Any legal firm depends significantly upon every member of the team, whether or not they are legally qualified.
