A JOBS website for the legal profession has had more than 20,000 visitors since it launched six months ago.
The website – ComparelegalJobs.com – has now also signed up most of the leading law firms in the West Midlands, and more than 85 firms nationally.
ComparelegalJobs.com was launched by recruitment gurus Tim Bates and Charles Magill in a bid to respond to the changing needs of the marketplace by combining the benefits of a traditional agency and a job board.
Bates and Magill said their website allowed candidates and employers to be in control of their application, which can be processed either via the employers dedicated micro site or by the utilising the services of an in-house recruitment team.
Since the launch of the website, Bates and Magill have been joined by former Wragge partner John Crabtree who has been appointed as company chairman, and former IoD regional chairman Richard Boot as non-executive director.
Bates and Magill said: “Comparelegaljobs.com will initially focus on fee-earner recruitment across the UK, from paralegal up to junior partner level, before moving into business management such as human resources and finance.
“As the region moves out of recession, we hope that the website can play a key part in a cost effective way for law firms in the West Midlands to attract talent in the future”.
