Allen & Overy LLP is the Graduate Employer of Choice

Allen & Overy LLP has been awarded the 'Graduate Employer of Choice for Law 2010' at the annual Times Top 100 awards. The Employers of Choice were identified from face-to-face interviews with 16,114 final year students from 30 UK universities during February 2010. Students who had applied for jobs in law were asked which employers within the legal sector area they most wanted to work for. All students interviewed were asked 'Which employer do you think offers the best opportunities for graduates?'
Commenting on the award Graduate Recruitment manager, Caroline Lindner said:
"This award demonstrates the high regard students have placed on the quality of our training programme, graduate recruitment activities and what we do as a business. In what has been a challenging recruitment year for employers and students alike, we're delighted that students have recognised Allen & Overy as an employer of choice in the legal sector".
Most Popular Graduate Recruiter in Law

A&O has won Most Popular Graduate Recruiter in Law at the leading awards ceremony in the graduate recruitment calendar - for the fifth year running.
The award, part of the TARGETjobs Awards, was determined by a national online student poll taken throughout the UK over four months.
Richard Hough, London-based Corporate partner who is responsible for graduate recruitment at A&O, said: "It is particularly gratifying that this award is based on the comments of the students themselves, showing just how well they respond to our approach when it comes to graduate recruitment. Winning this award five years in a row re-affirms the talent, commitment and enthusiasm of our entire Graduate Recruitment team."
Allen & Overy Hong Kong scoops 3 IFLR awards

A&O recently picked up IFLR awards for pro bono team of the year, and team and deal of the year for structured finance & securitisation.
This was the second time Allen & Overy received the pan-Asian pro bono award in the last three years and it recognises the personal time, commitment and dedication all the staff have made throughout the last year, led by Hong Kong-based partner Catherine Husted.
Judges said they focused on innovation, novelty and complexity when researching the deals. After interviewing numbers of lawyers and other professionals, they praised Allen & Overy's structured finance team as "one of the best in the region".

Global Pensions Awards winner 2010

Allen & Overy's leading position in the pensions market was confirmed in March 2010 having been awarded the accolade Law Firm of the Year 2010 by Global Pensions for the third consecutive year.
The award is made more important as the shortlists were compiled from nominations made by pension funds and were judged by a wide selection of pension and investment experts from around the world.
