      Allen & Overy LLP’s top tier international arbitration team is seeking a Russian speaking associate with experience and a passion for international arbitration work.

      You will have experience of large, complex arbitrations. Your desire to develop your advocacy skills will be strong, as will be your enthusiasm to work on a wide variety of cross-border matters, particularly those arising in Russia, the CIS and Central Asia.

      You may have published in arbitration journals and spoken at conferences, and will have demonstrated your legal research skills in the cases you have handled. You will have well-developed inter-personal skills and relish interacting with people from different cultures. Your written and spoken English and Russian will be fluent.

      Supporting our top-rated corporate, building societies and securitisation practices the right candidate will be at the forefront of structuring and executing cutting-edge transactions. The core areas of the role will involve providing advice on the regulatory aspects of retail products and services, including consumer credit, regulated mortgage contracts, and e-payments and e-commerce. Specialist knowledge of consumer regulation and consumer related issues is a pre-requisite.


          Key responsibilities

          Applicants will be expected to have solid experience in consumer credit and/or general retail regulatory matters (including Treating Customers Fairly and the FSA's principles based regime). In addition, you will have outstanding academic credentials, sound practical experience, good business judgement, strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work autonomously. The role would ideally be full-time but part-time and remote working arrangements may be considered.
