Litigator

Job Description

Objectives of a Junior Litigator:

To profitably manage a caseload of litigated personal injury road traffic accident (RTA) claims acting at all times in the best interests of the Claimant.

Reporting to the Litigation Team Leader you will be responsible for:

1. Conducting a case load of Fast Track pre and post litigation work.
2. Managing your own case load within NewLaw’s standard services levels and those applicable to particular client accounts.


Skills Required

We are looking for a law and / or LPC graduate / Legal Executive with significant experience of RTA claims in either a solicitors or insurers environment to join our team. Ideally you will have experience of running fast track, files preferably cases including instances of special damages, multi-occupancy vehicles and disposal hearings where personal injury quantum is disputed. You will also have a willingness to keep up to date with legal developments in these areas.

You will have the ability to work to deadlines and income targets. A strong focus on client care, good interpersonal skills and demonstrable negotiation skills are essential in this role.
Working in a large team you will be supervised and coached by more experienced litigators, enabling you to further develop your knowledge and expertise.
