The Group/Team
Located within the Finance & Projects Division, our Banking Group is a national team with significant resource in each of our offices in London, Leeds and Manchester. The Group acts for a wide variety of banks and financial institutions and also for some of the Firm's corporate and property clients when they borrow. The Group has significant capability in Real Estate Finance, Corporate Banking (including Leveraged Finance), Social Housing Finance, Asset Finance, Asset Based Lending, Derivatives, Structured and Project Finance and Debt Capital Markets.
Skills required
The job holder will assist the Banking team with various enquiries and projects. The job holder will also assist fee-earners with administration work where appropriate. Responsibilities will include:
• Servicing clients and the wider group as necessary
• Collating documentation for clients
• Monitoring regulatory bodies
Accordingly any successful applicant will need the following skills:
• Proven and demonstrable Paralegal experience
• Ability to work on their own with the confidence to delegate where necessary
• Excellent organisational skills when managing priorities incoming task requests
• Proven team player and will possess good communication skills.
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels.
• Have a positive, enthusiastic, conscientious and pro-active approach.
• Good standard of computer literacy as the job holder will be self-sufficient in this regard.
Background
The successful candidate will have:
• Essential: a law graduate.
• Desirable: previous paralegal experience preferably gained within a banking department.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging environment to tight deadlines.
