The Group/Team
The Real Estate Division is one of Addleshaw Goddard’s largest. Within the London office, the Real Estate group currently comprises 16 partners and over 45 other fee earners. Of these, there are 3 partners and 7 Associates who focus on working for our institutional lender clients.
The Role
The role will be focused on acting for our institutional lender clients who include Standard Life, Scottish Widows, Zurich Assurance and Threadneedle Pensions. Addleshaw Goddard has a strong reputation for providing Associates with a supportive, stretching environment and so anyone taking up this role can expect to have an appropriate level of supervision and the opportunity to play a significant role in working, predominantly, on Landlord matters for clients that are key to the Division and to the firm.
Skills & Competencies required
Any successful applicant will need the following skills in addition to the general competencies for an Associate Level 2/3 as described on the Careers section - click here for details - of the website:
Excellent knowledge of commercial property and related law
Experience in the drafting of property contracts and contract negotiation on behalf of Landlords
The ability to manage a large number of ongoing, concurrent matters and, more generally, good organisational skills
A proven record of a high standard of client care for existing clients
A good sense of humour and the ability to fit quickly into a team-based environment
Regularly updates technical expertise
Displays a knowledge of key areas of the law by providing clear, precise, practical advice with appropriate levels of supervision
There are excellent prospects for progression within this role and within the firm as a whole
