We are looking for a Commercial Property Solicitor whose principal duties and responsibilities will be:
1. To deliver practical services of outstanding quality that are focused on the client's needs.
2. To advise and represent clients on a range of commercial property mattes, including landlord and tenant agreements, freehold and leasehold conveyancing.
3. Effectively handle own case load and delegate authority to other "expert" fee-earners as appropriate.
4. To conduct negotiations on behalf of the client.
5. To visit the client and opponent's solicitors, when appropriate, in relation to dealing with the clients' matters.
6. To obtain appropriate specialist advice from other departments.
7. To obtain relevant information from most appropriate resource, eg library, computerised information systems etc.
8. To assist the partner in the implementation of a yearly marketing plan to promote products to existing and potential clients, creating a "quality and client focused" image whilst maximising fee earning capacity.
9. To agree fee income targets with the departmental heads.
10. To ensure that bills are presented to clients on a regular basis as agreed.
11. To keep up with relevant changes in the law and ensure that these are communicated to others within the department.
12. To develop the skills and qualities of subordinates.
13. To undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
