We are currently looking to recruit an IP Litigation lawyer with 6+ years' post qualification experience to join our Outsourcing, Technology & Commercial Group. The role will be based from our London office.
Background
Our highly respected, experienced IP team is one of the largest in the UK advising a wide range of blue chip technology, manufacturing and retail companies on all aspects of the exploitation and enforcement of their intellectual property rights. We act for both claimants and defendants in the prosecution and defence of their IP disputes with a focus on soft IP.
The IP team is part of Pinsent Masons' leading Outsourcing, Technology & Commercial law practices. With a wider team of 17 partners and 53 additional fee-earners, across a network of offices nationwide, Pinsent Masons provides a full service advisory practice on matters including outsourcing, e-business, IT products and services, technology, telecoms, privacy and media, all of which provide referrals to the IP disputes team.
Many of the matters which the team handles include an international element and there is a considerable knowledge base within the team concerning practices and the variety of ways disputes are handled overseas. Such knowledge is essential where cross-border factors are involved or forum shopping is an issue. This complements our wide ranging network of overseas associates in this field.
The Candidates Required
The successful candidates will ideally have gained experience in a IP department within a City firm or large regional practice or at a specialist IP boutique. Candidates must be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. They will be a team player with a strong client focussed approach. They will also have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills.
