Senior Associate

Overview

Allen & Overy LLP's top tier international arbitration team is seeking a senior associate with experience and a passion for international arbitration.

This is a senior role and so you will already have experience of large, complex arbitrations. Your desire to develop your advocacy skills will be strong, as will be your enthusiasm to work on a wide variety of cross-border matters. You will have published in arbitration journals and spoken at conferences, and will have demonstrated your legal research skills in the cases you have handled. You will have well-developed inter-personal skills and relish interacting with people from different cultures. Your written and spoken English will be fluent. Main duties and responsibilities include managing cases or aspects of cases, drafting and amending documentation, advising clients, business development, supervision of trainee solicitors and legal research. Academic requirements: excellent academics and proven track record are pre-requisites, e.g. 'A' grades at A-level or equivalent, minimum of 2.1 Bachelors Degree or equivalent, and the necessary legal qualifications to practise as a lawyer. You may have an LLM or other postgraduate degree from a leading university.
