The Real Estate Disputes team, part of the Real Estate practice group, provides comprehensive advice to a broad range of clients to avoid, manage and resolve real estate disputes effectively. We believe that a strength of the Real Estate practice area, both internally and externally, is that in addition to the transactional teams it includes two significant and recognised specialist teams in the shape of planning and disputes.

Our Strengths;

The ability to give timely, commercial advice which has earned us the position of trusted legal advisors to a broad cross-section of clients;

The support to the transactional teams where a significant amount of ad hoc advice is provided on transactions as they progress;

The broad range of work readily undertaken for our clients enabling us to offer a “one stop shop” service.

As part of our strategy to increase the Real Estate capabilities within our Bristol office, the team are looking to recruit a Senior Associate to work as part of the wider Real Estate Disputes team in London.

As a team we specialise in all types of property disputes, litigation, mediation and arbitration including;

Landlord and tenant disputes (such as rent reviews, breaches of covenants, statutory renewals of tenancies, forfeiture)

Claims under development agreements and other land contracts

Rights of light and party wall issues

Disputes relating to other easements and restrictive covenants

Nuisance and trespass claims, advice on agricultural tenancies

Professional negligence.

Areas of leisure licensing.

In order to assist in these matters you must be able to provide technical expertise used to deliver sound advice to clients and develop professional relationships with clients.

Candidates will have strong contentious experience with an excellent professional track record in a comparable firm. You will have experience of running a caseload with minimal supervision and will have excellent interpersonal skills. Given the complexity of the work we anticipate that candidates will need to have the equivalent of at least 5 years’ relevant pqe to meet the demands of the role.
