Our Big Anniversary

8th December is a big anniversary at our place. A year ago today we took the first tentative steps to create CompareLegalJobs! Wow what a year in the legal world – law firm profits have tumbled, lawyers have been reminded of their ‘O’ Level Physics – what goes up can comedown – when it comes to salary and career progression, and recruiters now know that there is such a thing as ‘too many candidates’! My co-founder, Charlie Magill, and I have travelled the length and breadth of the UK over the last 12 months and one thing is for sure: the recruitment market is in better shape today than it was 3, 6, 9 months ago. We aren’t back to clients ‘demanding’ a lawyer, any lawyer as soon as (everyone hopes it never goes this way again) but we are seeing a distant light that seems to be getting ever closer at the end of what has been a particularly dark and miserable 12 months.
